Ozone Removal
In today's world, we are surrounded by a broad spectrum of equipment that emits toxic ozone (copy machines, laser printers, etc.). In addition, various order removal equipment units have been developed utilizing the oxidizing properties of ozone.
NICHAS has developed an ozone decomposition filter comprising a honeycomb structured inorganic ceramic fiber material able to treat the ozone emitted by such equipment very efficiently.

Ozone Decomposition Mechanism
NCI manufactures two types of ozone decomposition filters, the Honeycle ZC with a long service life catalyst and the inexpensive Honeycle ZG active carbon type.
The ozone decomposition mechanisms of these two models are shown below.

Ozone decomposition by catalyst

Ozone decomposition by active carbon

HONEYCLE ZC
Features
Honeycle ZC is an outstanding ozone removal filter comprising a honeycomb-structured inorganic ceramic fiber material impregnated with a catalyst featuring high performance ozone decomposition and long service life.

1) Unlike active carbon filters, HONEYCLE ZC uses a catalyst to decompose the ozone, thus ensuring long service life.

2) To overcome the weak point of conventional catalysts, a highly moisture resistant catalyst is used, and its performance shows almost no deterioration even under high humidity conditions.

3) This model is non-combustible as it employs ceramic fiber and a metal-based catalyst.

Applications
Ozone decomposition filter able to treat ozone emitted by copy machines, laser printers, corona electric discharge treatment and electric dust collector.
HONEYCLE ZG
Features
Honeycle ZG is a high-performance ozone-removal filter comprising a honeycomb-structured inorganic ceramic fiber substrate. Using the special NCI process, the substrate is impregnated with a large amount of active carbon to ensure outstanding ozone decomposition.

1) Compared to conventional active carbon honeycombs, active carbon is impregnation-packed into the walls of the substrate in a high-density state ensuring high-performance.

2) It gives stable ozone removal under high moisture conditions.

3) As it uses an active carbon ozone decomposition system, it has a shorter service life than Honeycle ZC. However, the price is reasonable.

Applications:
Copy machines, Laser Printers
* Do not use for high concentrations over 10ppm ozone.
