Hucell

In recently years, due to technological progress, industrial equipment has tended to become more and more advanced. Air conditioning equipment is an example of this trend. There is a need for temperature control throughout the year, and strict humidity control is also important.
The concept of simple cooling systems using water vaporization (evaporation) is being reappraised as a measure to combat hot air in summer in animal housing facilities and factories.

The newly developed NCI Hucell is a honeycomb-structured element that is ideal for such applications featuring excellent water absorption enabling vaporization humidification and vaporization cooling.

Principle
Hucell is a highly water absorbent element mainly made of inorganic fiber.
Water is fed in from the top surface, and water-air contact occurs by passing air through the element. If low humidity air is passed through, the moisture that permeates into the Hucell element is evaporated off causing humidification.
At this time, sensible heat is used as the vaporization heat of the moisture and so the air temperature drops.
