Catalyst Carrier

Industrial development in recent years has led to heavy atmospheric pollution by various invisible chemical substances. In line with the increasing application of advanced technology, it will become progressively more important to maintain a clean environment, and for many industries this will be a major priority.

The NCI catalyst carrier Honeycle is a honeycomb structured fiber ceramic catalyst carrier developed to meet such needs.		 The NCI catalyst carrier Honeycle is different from conventional cordierite honeycomb carriers (extrusion type).The walls forming this carrier are fabricated using an inorganic ceramic fiber base. This catalyst carrier can be impregnated with various different catalytic agents right into the fibers of the carrier forming the walls of the structure. Even catalysts that, up to now have been difficult to form into honeycomb structures, can be made into excellent honeycomb structure catalysts using the Honeycle catalyst carrier.
Features
Large structures can be fabricated
As a corrugation manufacturing method is used, it is possible to manufacture carrier with very large dimensions, unlike other types such as the extrusion types (Max. dia. 4,000 mm)
The carrier is made of a fibrous substance.
The structure has light weight and low thermal capacity. As it can be impregnated with large amounts of the catalyst, high performance can be attained.
